FinTech Indonesia signs collaboration agreement with FinTech Australia

The peak financial technology (fintech) industry bodies in Indonesia and Australia have signed a landmark agreement to help drive exchanges of talent and expertise between the two growing fintech markets. Signed in December, the memorandum of understanding between FinTech Australia and FinTech Indonesia is regarded as an important step to drive the mutual development and growth of fintech industries across both jurisdictions. Credible founder Stephen Dash comes home for biggest ASX tech IPO of 2017

A 33-year-old Australian tech entrepreneur, who left Australia five years ago for Silicon Valley, will return home to ring the bell at the Australian Securities Exchange on Friday as his fintech company Credible becomes the biggest local tech float of the year. Bitcoin shakes off bubble warnings in race past $US16,000 mark

Bitcoin touched $US16,000 for the first time on Thursday, extending its advance this month to almost 70 per cent as concerns mounted the cryptocurrency’s rapid rise masks risks. CanYa raised $3.7 million with 28 Days to go for their ICO

Fortress backs $120m capital raising by MoneyMe

Global credit investor Fortress Investment Group will invest $100 million in debt capital to support MoneyMe’s consumer lending growth as the fintech considers an initial public offering in early 2019. Fortress’s investment is part of a $120 million asset-backed securitisation deal, which also includes a $20 million bond, issued by Evans & Partners, which was oversubscribed.
