DomaCom Australia completes crowdfunding of first mortgage backed loan

DomaCom Australia Ltd (ASX:DCL) has successfully completed the crowdfunding campaign to fund its first mortgage backed loan. The company’s online platform provides an opportunity for investors to invest in residential and commercial property across Australia through the fractional acquisition of units in a trust. Newcastle based financial advice firm Shartru Wealth Management used the DomaCom platform to acquire a $1.6 million residential property in Melbourne using both debt and equity. DomaCom to integrate with major real estate platform

One of the major real estate platforms has entered an agreement with DomaCom which will see its property listings integrated into DomaCom’s crowdfunding platform. In an ASX announcement, DomaCom said it has entered an agreement with Domain which will connect Domain’s vast property listing data with DomaCom’s crowdfunding technology. The agreements will also see Domain’s market intelligence integrated into the DomaCom Crowdfunding platform in order to provide analytics to investors. DomaCom partners with Moody’s Analytics

Fractional property investment company DomaCom has struck a deal to gain access to the CoreLogic – Moody’s Analytics Australian Forecast Home Value Index. The partnership will allow DomaCom to create “highly targeted, research-backed residential property investment strategies for independent financial advisers and direct investors”, DomaCom said in a statement. DomaCom has launched two crowdfunding campaigns that will seek to raise $6 million and $4.3 million, respectively, that will offer investment opportunities in affordable housing for the retirement sector and clean energy infrastructure and jobs in regional Australia. DomaCom has signed an agreement with a property developer to help launch a residential community land project in regional Victoria. The deal with Akuna Lifestyle Estates will involve a $6 million capital raising comprising $1.65 million to acquire the land and $4.35 million for development planning, approvals and construction of the civil works, and common facilities including a clubhouse, sports centre, pool and bowling green, according to a statement.
