Weel strengthens leadership team with new Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Marketing appointments

Weel, Australia’s leading spend management solution for businesses, have announced the appointments of Marten Jagers as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Nina Putica as Head of Marketing. These strategic appointments underscore Weel’s commitment to driving growth in the Australian market and beyond, with the news coming only weeks after Weel announced a new pivotal partnership with Visa and payment platform provider Nium.

Marten Jagers joins Weel with over 20 years of experience in revenue generation, sales strategy, and business development within the fintech sector, including playing pivotal roles in the success of both SAP Concur in the APAC market, as well as the success of American spend management platform Coupa. As Chief Revenue Officer, Marten will spearhead Weel’s revenue optimisation efforts, leveraging his expertise to identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and drive sustainable growth.

“I am excited to join Weel and contribute to its mission of empowering businesses to streamline spend management and drive financial efficiency,” said Jagers. “Weel has already made significant strides in revolutionising how businesses manage their expenses, and I look forward to working closely with the team to further accelerate our growth trajectory.”

In addition to Marten’s appointment, Nina Putica brings a wealth of experience in marketing strategy, brand development, and digital innovation to her new role as Head of Marketing at Weel. Drawing on her previous success at leading technology companies Braze and Nearmap, Nina will lead Weel’s marketing initiatives to enhance market presence and foster meaningful engagement with businesses.

“I am thrilled to be joining Weel in their journey of revolutionising how businesses approach spend management,” said Nina. “Weel’s commitment to innovation and customer-centricity is second to none, and I’m eager to leverage my experience to amplify our brand and accelerate company growth.”

Commenting on these appointments, Daniel Kniaz, CEO of Weel, said, “We are delighted to welcome Marten and Nina to the Weel team. Their collective experience and strategic vision will be instrumental as we continue to empower businesses with our innovative spend management solution. Weel remains dedicated to delivering unparalleled value to our customers, and I am confident that Marten and Nina will play pivotal roles in driving our future success.”
