Seeking Australian Female Founders of startups for mission to UK

Australian Female startup founders to visit London as part of Startup Catalyst’s Mission to explore the world leading UK tech market.

The UK Department for International Trade (DIT) has partnered with Startup Catalyst to offer a female Founder of an Australian startup the opportunity to join Startup Catalyst’s ‘Female Founders Mission’ to London in November 2017.

The successful ‘Female Founder’ will join a 20 strong delegation to the UK, including startup Founders, investors, corporate innovators and government policy makers, all looking to learn about the UK startup eco-system and establish international networks.

The successful applicant will receive access to the full mission programme of events, meetings and tours, accommodation and a return economy flight to London. There’s also scope for the Founder to customise an agenda specific to their requirements and interests by using DIT’s and Startup Catalyst’s extensive network.

British High Commissioner to Australia, Menna Rawlings said:

“We are delighted to partner with Startup Catalyst on this important initiative. The potential for women in tech is limitless, and this programme helps to shine a light on the amazing entrepreneurial female talent in Australia.

“It’s also a great opportunity for female founders to learn about the UK market and access networks to help them grow their business internationally and compete more readily in a traditionally male dominated sector. We’re particularly excited to offer a place on the mission to a talented founder looking to expand their business to the UK and I encourage all Australian female entrepreneurs to apply.”

Startup Catalyt’s CEO, Aaron Birkby said:

“Startup Catalyst is incredibly excited about our upcoming Female Founders Mission to London. The mission participants will be exposed to one of the most advanced startup hubs in the world, to explore the market potential for their companies, and to understand the nuances of doing business in the UK.

“They’ll also connect to some of the UK’s best entrepreneurs and investors, and have the chance to establish key long-range connections between Australia and the UK.”

Mission delegates will network with some of the world’s leading startup, tech and innovation influencers and investors and also have the opportunity to meet successful British and Australian female entrepreneurs based in the UK.
