Ex-ING CEO Don Koch appointed Chairman of fintech Cache
Cache have today announced that Don Koch will be joining Cache as Independent Chairman, effective immediately.
Don Koch joins Cache as Chairman. Don was formally CEO of ING Australia, Australia’s fifth largest bank with over 2 million customers. Don is also Chair of BNK bank, a small but fast-growing banking and aggregation business.
Don brings over 25 years of banking experience from Australia, Asia and Europe to Cache where he will be instrumental in driving the adoption of micro-investing products into the Australian banking sector.
Don Koch said, “Successful banks have always offered the products, services and experiences their customers demand. The industry has evolved from chequing accounts and credit cards to mobile banking, Apple Pay, roundups and BNPL. I believe that, as customers increasingly demand innovative products to help them save and invest money, micro-investing products will quickly become an essential core feature of the household decision to save and invest.”
Caleb Gibbins, Founder and CEO of Cache said, “Don is a mainstay of the Australian banking landscape and brings a wealth of experience from a career as CEO of ING Australia and other offshore retail businesses. Don shares our mission – to help millions of people invest – many for the first time. The team and I are very excited to have Don join the team to help build Australia’s next great financial institution.”
