Wolters Kluwer recognised for its complimentary COVID-19 Resource Hub for Australian Legal, Accounting & Tax Professionals
Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Asia Pacific, a leading provider of expert solutions for legal, tax, accounting, and finance professionals who make critical decisions every day, was recognised with a Silver Stevie® Award for its free COVID-19 Resource Hub in the eighth edition of the Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards. The COVID-19 Resource Hub harnesses the power of the CCH iKnow, CCH Pinpoint® and CCH Political Alert solutions to help keep practitioners up to date in real-time so they can better understand unprecedented levels of Government announcements and policy changes that occurred in rapid response to economic and healthcare challenges.
“We are honored that our Complimentary Premium COVID-19 Resource initiative was recognized this year by the Asia Pacific Stevie® Awards,” said Izzy Silva, Managing Director, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, Asia Pacific. “We viewed this initiative as a valuable corporate response for our customer base and offering it for free was one way we were able to support our customers throughout the pandemic. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, business owners and professionals have had an unprecedented volume of information being shared with them daily, including more tax legislation in a few months than over the past few years. Our research platforms, CCH iKnow and CCH Pinpoint, were able to compile this information, overlay our industry expertise, and interpret what these changes mean to give legal, accounting, and tax professionals clear answers – quickly and effectively.”
The COVID-19 Resource Hub initiative was awarded a Silver Stevie® Award in the Most Valuable Corporate Response category. The Complimentary COVID-19 Resource Hub proved to be overwhelmingly popular with Wolters Kluwer customers. During a webinar hosted by CCH Learning, Wolters Kluwer experts shared insights on the Australian Federal Government COVID-19 Stimulus Package. There were over 4,000 registrations and 99% engagement during the webinar.
The amount of information delivered in the Australian Federal Government’s Treasury Laws Amendment Act 2020 was unprecedented. The Act was released to support the COVID-19 economic recovery for individuals and business. These included reforms for Personal Income Tax, temporary loss carries back for business, increasing the small business entity turnover threshold for certain concessions, enhancing the R&D Tax Incentive, and a temporary full expensing of depreciating assets.
