Tyro to offer complimentary EFTPOS readers to charity and community organisations
Tyro is offering charity and community organisations complimentary EFTPOS readers to help them take payments, donations and fundraising with ease.
The offer includes a complimentary Tyro Go EFTPOS reader, an instant saving of $59, and a discounted Merchant Service Fee of 0.9% for registered charities or 1.2% for community organisations.
Tyro’s Chief Growth Officer, Dee Bannatyne said, “At Tyro, we are passionate about making things easier for all of our merchants. Not-for-profit (NFP) organisations are out there doing some of the most important work in communities all over Australia. We want to throw our support behind these incredible organisations by allowing them to accept payments with ease.
“Supporting charities is something we’ve been passionate about for many years. Particularly in a world where cash is less available, contactless payments can help organisations collect donations anywhere, anytime and quickly.
“We have partnered with Jeans for Genes since 2021, supporting this amazing charity to collect necessary donations to help continue the great work they do in our community.
Over the past two years, Tyro terminals have helped them to increase their donation rate on their main fundraising day, processing an average of 2.9 contactless payments per minute. With our new NFP offer we hope to help scale the impact of fantastic organisations like Jeans for Genes.
“The Tyro Go allows for payments to be accepted anywhere with its portable functionality, so we encourage charities to get in touch and make use of this offer while it lasts,” Ms Bannatyne said.
