SendFX launch marks a significant change for global payments

A fintech start-up operating out of the Gold Coast is aiming to shake up the world of currency transfer with its innovative tech and comprehensive product offering.

Launched in early May, SendFX has been established with the vision of becoming the go-to destination for making overseas payments, from those with a requirement for personal transactions such as emigrating, or sending money to family overseas, through to executing orders for SMEs and large corporate clients.

SendFX is the brainchild of two expats, Paul Billing and Ian Cragg, who experienced firsthand the limitations of their competitors’ solutions when relocating to Australia several years ago.

“As a nation, one in three Aussies were born overseas, and our demand for currency exchange has simply never been greater,” stated Billing, CEO and Co-Founder.

“Research shows that small and medium Australian businesses alone lose out on over $150m each year simply because of poor rates from their traditional bricks-and-mortar banks.1 To us, that’s a clear sign that something is broken in the way that we move our money, and we want to change that for the better.”

With significant technical, financial and operational backing from the publicly-listed payments technology provider Novatti Group Limited (ASX: NOV), the company has developed a cutting-edge transactional platform which it believes will be the envy of the industry and which includes an impressive roadmap for continuous product development and rollouts.

In addition, the SendFX proposition boasts dedicated account management, and fee-free transfers to over 200 countries in 40 different currencies, and will soon be launching a generous rewards scheme – the first of its kind among any pureplay foreign exchange provider – which allows customers to accrue loyalty points and cashback with each transaction made, alongside a branded multi-currency Visa card.

“I’m incredibly proud to welcome the world to SendFX,” continued Billing. “Our platform is the culmination of serious hard work and we’re confident that it brings something fresh and new to a highly-competitive sector.”

SendFX offers free account setup for its customers worldwide at www.sendfx.com.au.
