Midwinter Participates in Wicked Problems, Visionary Investors Program

Midwinter Financial Services (Midwinter) is participating in a new initiative called Wicked Problems, Visionary Investors, founded by Evolution Media Group CEO Vanessa Stoykov with business media platform ausbiz, and financial adviser directory service Adviser Ratings.

With an unstable economic landscape in a post-pandemic world, access to good financial advice is needed more than ever. Each two-part program is broadcast via ausbiz weekly, providing a valuable resource for advisers who are on the frontline of creating and communicating financial strategies.

Steve Davison, Chief Commercial Officer at Midwinter, said, “We are pleased to be the foundation partner for episodes 1 and 2 which focus on how to make financial advice more affordable and accessible to Australians. Over the past few years, declining adviser numbers and increasing input costs have meant most Aussies are essentially priced out of the advice market. Leaning on the proposed changes in the Quality of Advice Review and Midwinter’s digital advice capabilities, we are on a mission to change this by providing advisers with the technology they need to provide affordable advice solutions.”

The first episode, which aired last week, delved into the issue of advice accessibility and affordability with Midwinter’s Steve Davison and the FPA’s Sarah Abood to tackle the problem head on. The first episode can be watched on demand here.

Episode Two will air this Thursday 3 November at 1pm AEDT on ausbiz and will include questions from the audience (advisers and advised Australians) with answers from the panel including Midwinter’s Steve Davison.
