LightYear Group acquires Abbott & Mourly and Legal Back Office in strategic expansion
LightYear Group has announced the finalisation effective from 18th October 2024 of two major acquisitions: the well-respected law firm Abbott & Mourly, which will be rebranded as LY Legal, and the legal administration service, Legal Back Office, which will retain its original brand.
These acquisitions mark a pivotal step in LightYear Group‘s continued expansion into the legal services sector, further solidifying its position as a world-class leader in family wealth protection, legal fintech, legal automation, and advisory services across Australia.
LY Legal will provide world-class expertise in family wealth protection, estate planning, and legal document automation. By incorporating the established reputation of Abbott & Mourly with LightYear Group’s innovative approach to legal solutions, LY Legal will be positioned at the forefront of legal services that support Australian families, accountants, lawyers, and financial planners.
LY Legal’s services will cover estate planning, asset protection, family wealth restructuring, and advanced tax and SMSF advice. The firm’s integration of cutting-edge technology and AI will empower families to safeguard their legacies for generations to come.
