Dr. Laura Rusu, CEO of LENSELL, Joins La Trobe University's Industry Course Advisory Committee

Dr. Laura Rusu, the CEO and founder of LENSELL, has been invited to join the Industry Course Advisory Committee for the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT) at La Trobe University.

Dr. Rusu pioneered the innovative Diversiview software, which enables corporate-grade portfolio optimisation for investors, significantly enhancing accessibility to information and diversification tools.

This prestigious appointment signifies a bridge between industry and academia, as Dr. Rusu’s expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the courses and curriculum, ensuring that students are equipped with the latest insights and industry trends.

“Exactly 20 years ago in November 2003, I was visiting La Trobe University in Bundoora, to meet my (then soon to be) research supervisor, the amazing Professor Wenny Rahayu. I feel honored to be now invited to be part of the Industry Course Advisory Committee within the same Department where I completed my PhD, and to be working with Prof. Rahayu and other colleagues to shape the courses that will benefit future cohorts of STEM students.”
