5. In one sentence, what does your fintech do?:
Automic Group is the only company in Australia that offers integrated technology solutions combined with Share Registry, Legal, Company Secretarial, Governance, Finance professional services.
6. How / why did you start your fintech company?:
We knew that for too long the registry industry had been operating on old technology, resulting in an inefficient service that was prone to error. Further to this pricing was expensive and lacked transparency. We saw the opportunity for change and we took it, building a flexible, modern, cloud-based technology to facilitate seamless data access backed by meaningful analytical capabilities and quality service.
7. What is the best thing your company has achieved or learnt along the way (this can include awards, capital raising etc)?:
Our goal is to be number one in the share registry industry in Australia. Recently we became the third largest registry provider to ASX listed companies and this milestone moves us one step closer to our goal.
8. What’s some advice you’d give to an aspiring start-up?:
Set clear, measurable targets from the outset and stay very focussed on them but always have an open mind to better ways of doing things and constantly challenge the status quo. Don’t be afraid to deviate in approach to fast track attaining your targets. Ensure that you have a risk and compliance framework in place from the beginning and that it is scaleable to support future business growth.
9. What’s next for your company?:
We will stay on course to become the number one share registry provider in Australia. At the same time we are planning to expand internationally.
