Australian fintech Lextech announces new CEO and leadership
Leading mortgage processing and legal services provider Lextech and Purcell Partners have announced key leadership appointments to support continued customer growth and innovation.
Peter Maloney (pictured right) has been appointed group CEO, bringing over 20 years’ experience across Australia’s financial, legal and property sectors. Prior to Lextech Peter served as CEO and Managing Director of dominant property and legal technology provider GlobalX, and Managing Director of Dye & Durham Australia, overseeing the merger of SAI Global Property with GlobalX into Dye & Durham.
Simon Purcell, Founder and Director of Purcell Partners, said Maloney’s appointment brings a wealth of expertise in mortgage settlement services and technology, spanning both the legal and financial sectors. “Peter has been a transformative force in scaling some of Australia’s most influential technology brands at the crossroads of finance, property, and law and will be instrumental in advancing Lextech’s capabilities and customer success,” Purcell said.

Leadership Expansion for Customer Success
Lextech has appointed Rafe Berding (pictured left) as Chief Growth Officer (CGO), further strengthening its executive team with his extensive leadership experience servicing high-compliance and regulatory-driven industries. Having worked closely with Australia’s banking, legal, conveyancing, and government sectors, Berding brings a deep understanding of mortgage services, property settlements, regulatory technology, compliance and risk management standards, ensuring Lextech continues to deliver industry-leading solutions with precision and integrity.
Jason Popkowski has been appointed Head of Sales, focusing on customer success and innovation. Popkowski leadership experience includes General Manager of Financial Services at global property and legal technology firm Dye & Durham, Client Service Manager at the NSW Land Registry Service, and Head of Sales for eBay. With a strong background in customer engagement and financial services, Jason will play a key role in strengthening Lextech’s customer experience and commercial operations.
