Walk the World and Nucleus Wealth partner for ‘Black label’ super and investment funds

Walk the World and Nucleus Wealth partner for ‘Black label’ super and investment funds

Melbourne-based fund manager Nucleus Wealth and Martin North’s ‘Walk the World’ (WTW) brand, today announced a partnership through which Nucleus Wealth will provide WTW subscribers a number of investment and superannuation fund options via the Walk the World website and YouTube channel that has more than 46,000 subscribers.

North is a data scientist and banking sector analyst who runs Digital Financial Analytics a digitally based consumer research and economic analysis business focused on the finance, superannuation and property sectors that incorporates the popular Walk the World YouTube channel.

This new partnership follows on from a Nucleus Wealth’s white label deal with the Arrow Financial Advice group earlier this year.

Damien Klassen, CEO of Nucleus Wealth, said, “We are delighted to form a partnership with Martin’s operations. We share a ‘quant’ background and data driven research is common to both our operations.

“We are describing this as a ‘black label’ arrangement because although the suite of funds will be accessed via the WTW and DFA websites and WTW YouTube channel and have a headline Walk the World brand, below this introductory branding everything will be presented as Nucleus Wealth … in black letters if you like,” said Klassen.

North said, “With rates being cut to ribbons recently, savings rates are set to stay low for years. As the RBA chair Phil Lowe recently said, savers now have to take market related exposures to generate returns.
“This raises the question, what product offers the right solution?” said North.

“We have examined the market and teamed with Nucleus because they provide complete transparency, a range of tailorable options, reasonable fees, and reliable performance with a strong focus on downside protection.

“The Nucleus offer is at the leading edge of the market technically and we believe in how it approaches funds management. Nucleus represents a blend of innovation, technology and finance and is, in our view,  a market leader in terms of investor options and investor control by virtue of its extensive ESG filters.

“Unlike most digital options the Nucleus powered WTW funds platform portfolios will be actively managed AND feature over 30 ESG filter choices, making it a next generation fully digital offering, designed from the customer end,” North said.

The Nucleus Wealth platform will allow WTW subscribers/investors:

  • A simple, but thorough, online onboarding experience that provides personal investment advice and ID verification
  • Dynamic risk management and stock selection
  • More than 30 ethical and portfolio filters to customise portfolios for each client
  • Investments through personal, joint, company, trust, super and SMSF accounts
  • Complete portfolio and investment management transparency
  • The tax benefits of a separately managed account
  • Liquid, secure assets held in their own name with JP Morgan and HSBC as custodians

Both the Walk the World Fund and Walk the World Super allow investors to choose and mix five separate portfolio options: Three diverse ‘tactical’ portfolios comprising different mixes of Australian and international equities and bonds and cash, namely, Tactical Growth, Tactical Accumulation and Tactical Income; and two core equities portfolio, namely Core international Equities and Core Australia Equities.
