Stone & Chalk’s comprehensive capital raising guide for startup founders is now live

Emerging technology Impact Network Stone & Chalk has launched its comprehensive capital raising guide for startup founders.

The guide, produced in partnership with an A-list of venture capital founders, was launched at a virtual event on Wednesday. Speakers included Reinventure’s Simon Cant, IAG FireMark Ventures’ Michael Dovey, Jelix Ventures’ Andrea Gardiner, Rampersand’s Chris Quirk and Stone & Chalk’s Cheryl Mack.

The 42-page guide demystifies the process, pitfalls and promises of capital raising to support startup founders to make the best decision for their business.

Stone & Chalk CEO Alex Scandurra said that the guide was part of the not-for-profit’s service to the Australian emerging technology ecosystem.

“Capital raising is one of the most important and daunting processes that a startup founder can go through,” he said.

“As an organisation that serves emerging technology founders and the companies that support them, we want to demystify that process. We have worked with stakeholders across the ecosystem to produce a thorough, plain-language, practical guide to capital-raising today.

“The Australian technology sector is going to drive our post-COVID recovery and emerging technologies will play a central role. We are proud to be connecting startup founders and corporate partners who will transform our economy, create jobs and drive growth in the coming years.”

The Stone & Chalk Capital Raising Guide was produced in partnership with Airtree, ASX, Birchal, Firemark Ventures, Jelix Ventures, Lighter Capital, NAB Ventures, One Ventures, Rampersand, Right Click Capital, SeedSpace, Square Peg and Tempus Partners.
