Shift grows its product team
Shift, a leading provider of credit and payment products for Australian businesses, has expanded its product team with two senior appointments.
Mathew Parsons (pictured left) has been appointed Head of Product – Lending, while Peter Tang (pictured right) has joined Shift as Principal Product Manager – Credit.
In his role as Head of Product – Lending, Mathew leads a team that is responsible for the development, management and ongoing evolution of Shift’s portfolio of credit products, including ensuring the Shift suite meets the needs of growing Australian businesses and Shift’s commercial broker network.
Mathew joined Shift from nCino, a SaaS company providing originations solutions for financial institutions across Australia and New Zealand, where he was Head of Product – Home Lending APAC.
Mathew has also held senior product positions with Bank of Queensland and Macquarie Bank.
“Shift strikes the right balance of focusing on finance and technology, with a team that has a clear view on how it can meet the complex needs of its customers and broker network, which is something that immediately drew me to the company,” said Mathew.
As Shift’s Principal Product Manager – Credit, Peter Tang is responsible for the ongoing development, management and maintenance of Shift’s credit experience, from application through to analysis and approval.
Prior to joining Shift, Peter was Senior Product Manager at Linktree, where he was responsible for leading the company’s growth initiatives. Peter has previously held product roles with Campaign Monitor and Commonwealth Bank.
“Shift has invested heavily in data and technology that allows a better way to evaluate credit risk and a vastly improved customer experience. This is a huge and exciting opportunity,” said Peter.
Both roles report into Paul Nayda, Chief Product Officer, Shift, who commented that these new hires will see Shift continue its focus on highly differentiated product offerings, underpinned by proprietary data and technology that are easy to use and give Australian businesses more control over their finances.
“We welcome Mathew and Peter, who both come with impeccable experience across platforms and finance, as well as the right ‘get-it-done’ mindset,” said Paul.
