Online trading platform Selfwealth announces Board changes
ASX-listed online trading platform Selfwealth have announced the resignation of Huy Truong and Jodie Leonard and the appointment to the Board of Emanuel Ajay Datt as a Non-Executive Director.
Truong and Leonard have been on the board of Selfwealth since September 2022, and both have made a significant contribution to the Company in a very short period of time.
Truong served as a member of both the Audit and Risk and the Nomination, Remuneration & HR Committees and Leonard served as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Nomination, Remuneration & HR Committee.
Rob Edgley, Chairman of Selfwealth said, “I’d like to thank Huy and Jodie for their commitment to transitioning the Company to a new governance structure and their hard work and guidance across many facets of the business.”
The Board has previously advised that as part of its ongoing commitment to strong corporate governance, it will review its current composition and commence a Board refreshment process. A search for new independent Directors is already underway and will be announced as soon as possible.
As part of the Board refresh process, Edgley has also advised he won’t be standing for reelection at the 2023 AGM and an appointment of a new Chair is a key priority of the search process for new independent Directors.
Truong’s and Leonard’s resignation is effective immediately.
Datt is the Principal of Datt Capital, the largest shareholder of Selfwealth. Datt Capital is an award-winning, Australian focused funds manager with a strong emphasis on emerging companies within the technology and financial sectors. Datt has 16 years investment management experience and is an experienced entrepreneur operating a number of businesses across industry sectors within a family conglomerate, prior to Datt Capital.
