Octet CEO Clive Isenberg honoured among 2019’s Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs

Octet CEO, Clive Isenberg, has been recognised as one of the Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2019 by Goldman Sachs at its Builders + Innovators Summit in Ningbo, China.

Goldman Sachs selected Isenberg as one of the entrepreneurs from multiple industries to be honoured at the two-day event.

“It truly is an unexpected honour to be recognised with this award by Goldman Sachs, particularly at such an exciting time in Octet’s growth journey.” said Isenberg.

Clive Isenberg has founded and run many B2B supply chain financing businesses, beginning with Scottish Pacific Business Finance in 1988, which later became Australia and New Zealand’s largest privately-owned cash flow financier and the most successful in the Asia/Asia Pacific region. After selling Scottish Pacific to one of Australia’s largest banks, he set off on a tour that would lead to the realisation behind founding Octet.

“Octet was born out of a desire to help local businesses, particularly SME’s, buy from suppliers in Asia-Pacific and other emerging regions. With over 30,000 members across 65 countries and counting, we’re genuinely looking forward to further democratising supply chain financing and payment tools for small and medium sized businesses globally” he said.

The ambition shown by Clive Isenberg throughout his career and as Octet’s founder is being rewarded in a time and region where competition couldn’t be fiercer.

“Asia is home to some of the world’s fastest-growing and most innovative companies,” said Todd Leland, Co-President of Asia Pacific ex-Japan at Goldman Sachs. “The purpose of Builders + Innovators is to support emerging leaders in growing their ideas. We are pleased to bring the event to Asia for the first time and recognise Clive Isenberg as one of the most intriguing entrepreneurs in Asia.”

In addition to honouring entrepreneurs, the summit consists of sessions led by academics and business leaders.
