Mambu set to make waves Down Under, appointing award-winning fintech leader Kristofer Rogers as new MD ANZ
Mambu has welcomed award-winning fintech leader Kristofer Rogers to the newly created role of Managing Director for Mambu Australia and New Zealand. Rogers, who was named CEO Magazine’s Start-Up Executive of the Year in 2019, joins Mambu at a time when the organisation is experiencing rapid growth in the ANZ region.
Rogers brings more than 12 years of experience in the fintech, open banking and payments industries, and most recently headed up Split Payments, an innovative Australian open banking payments platform that experienced phenomenal growth under his leadership.
“Kristofer’s appointment is a major coup for Mambu and we believe he will be instrumental in solidifying Mambu’s presence in Australia and New Zealand,” said Myles Bertrand, Mambu’s Managing Director, APAC. “The ANZ region is really heating up when it comes to digital banking, so having Kristofer on the ground is going to be critical for us.”
Rogers will work closely with Bertrand, who is based in Mambu’s APAC HQ in Singapore, to elevate Mambu’s position in Australia and New Zealand.
“I’ve been following Mambu’s progress for some time now, and have been impressed with the impact the organisation has had on the banking and finance world globally,” said Rogers. “ Mambu’s technology is unrivalled, and the internal culture and drive exhibited by the leadership team can be considered the gold standard in the industry. I’m looking forward to engaging with banks and financial institutions across Australia and New Zealand, sharing how Mambu can help them with their business transformation.”
Rogers added, “Australian banks have been through a lot of scrutiny, which has led to very ambitious transformation strategies – also driven by increased competition from emerging fintechs and the launch of open banking. With APRA driving cloud adoption as a priority, now is the time for all financial institutions and emerging players to explore innovative solutions, and Mambu is at the core of this new ecosystem. I’m looking forward to the challenge of scaling Mambu’s ANZ operations.”
Mambu, a leading cloud-native digital banking platform that operates in a Software-as-a-Service model, enables banks and financial institutions to build new banking and lending experiences in the cloud. Customers in the ANZ region include Tyro, Nimble, Hay and Lumi.
