Leading AI decisioning platform Rich Data Co appoints first CISO – digital banking information security expert Dr Kevin Tham
Rich Data Co, a leading AI decisioning platform that helps banks make high-quality lending decisions efficiently and safely has appointed seasoned information security veteran Dr Kevin Tham as its first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Kevin has 20 years’ experience in information security, technology risk and cyber security roles across major organisations including Qantas, UBS, Woolworths, and consulting firms Deloitte and Accenture. He has dedicated most of the past decade to establishing high banking security standards at financial services companies including Westpac Group, Tyro Group, and fintech startup Avenue Bank.
Most recently, Kevin was CISO at purpose-driven fintech etika, where his role encompassed various cyber security and risk management aspects including cyber compliance and regulatory requirements. He is currently a steering committee member at CISO Tribe, a professional community led by CISOs. Kevin has also held various board roles at information software and IT professional membership organisation ISACA’s Sydney Chapter for nearly eight years.
In his newly appointed role, Kevin will be responsible for overseeing RDC’s cyber security risk and building resilience capability, implementing the RDC cyber security strategy and roadmap, uplifting the Information Security Management System (ISMS), and improving overall risk posture.

Kevin’s appointment marks the first of several imminent hires this year. It follows RDC’s successful $28 million Series B raise last November.
