Kathie Standen appointed new Executive General Manager of ACCC’s Consumer Data Right Division
After over three years as Executive General Manger of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s Consumer Data Right Division, Paul Franklin has resigned from the ACCC to pursue other opportunities. Under Paul’s leadership, the initial CDR Rules were developed, phased implementation to banking was completed and the rollout to the energy sector began.
Kathie Standen (pictured) is the new Executive General Manager of ACCC’s CDR Division. Before her appointment, Kathie was Executive General Manager at the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and also the Interim Chief Executive Officer for more than 6 months in 2022. During this time, Kathie was responsible for delivering the AER’S role in CDR for energy. Before joining the AER, Kathie held several senior executive and leadership positions in the Queensland Government.
