Jamie Leach departs FDATA for a new role at Cuscal
FDATA Global today announces the departure of its Australian Regional Director Jamie Leach.
Ms Leach has led the Financial Data and Technology Association’s focus in Australia for the past two years and has successfully built the association’s membership base and sphere of influence. She has also been a tireless advocate for member interests at the national level, making policy submissions on their behalf and participating in wider open data advocacy and standards-setting discussions related to the rollout of Australia’s Consumer Data Right.
Ms Leach is leaving to take up a senior executive position at Cuscal Limited.
“For the past two years, I have been honoured to represent FDATA Global in the Asia Pacific region to contribute to open data regulatory reform and industry advancements most especially in open banking. It’s been an incredible job and I have loved every minute. Whilst I am sad that today is my last day at FDATA, I am also looking forward to fresh challenges when I commence my new role on Monday at Cuscal leading a team focused on commercialising open data,” said Ms Leach.
As a member-based industry association, FDATA’s local A&NZ Chapter works with government, regulators and financial industry stakeholders in the pursuit of its mission to open up finance in Australia and New Zealand and advance both countries’ commitments to a Consumer Data Right.
FDATA Global CEO Richard Prior said: “Jamie is a passionate advocate for the transformative potential of open banking to benefit the end consumer. She has been exceptional in her efforts to connect our members with each other and also to key stakeholders in the wider open finance ecosystem. As a tireless champion for open data, she will be greatly missed at FDATA. We wish her every success in her new role with Cuscal.”
Mr Prior also praised Ms Leach’s energy and commitment to placing FDATA at the centre of policy debates in the industry and her focus on building a strong regional chapter and community. A professional executive search is underway. “With so much happening down under in open banking, open energy and open X, it’s a top priority for us to announce Jamie’s successor and maintain momentum,” said Mr Prior.
