Jacaranda Finance CEO, Daniel Wessels takes out 2020’s Young Entrepreneur Award for Finance
In a year that has demanded countless adaptations to strategy and business operation as a whole, CEO of Jacaranda Finance, Daniel Wessels, has emerged as a leader of pioneering change. Wessels was earlier this week awarded Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Finance sector.
Wessels was in good company with fellow nominees, including the founders of Carbon Group, Burn, Business Leaderz and MWM Advisory, and ultimately emerged the overall winner for Finance.
“I know this award recognises individuals, but I wouldn’t be here accepting it without the team I have behind me. Every single person at Jacaranda Finance has played a role in creating a company that has turned traditional financing on its head and given a fair-go to all Australians. In 2020, more than ever, we’re proud to continue working towards that goal and supporting Australians from all walks of life” Wessels says.
Jacaranda Finance offers personal loans of up to $10,000 to Australians. An emphasis is placed on looking beyond simply the credit score of an applicant and using innovative technologies to assess a more complete financial picture.
Normally a gala dinner affair, the Awards night adopted 2020’s most popular trend and went virtual. The awards, presented by Business News Australia, were announced December 14.
“I was pleasantly surprised,” notes Wessels. “After all, my fellow nominees have built amazing businesses and being an entrepreneur at all, let alone a successful one, has been no easy feat in 2020. My hats off to everyone who has been nominated.”
Jacaranda Finance has proven, once again, to be a leader in the fintech space. In a sector that is as crowded as it can be confusing to navigate for the modern Australian, Jacaranda is adopting new technologies to make the process as accessible – and fair – as possible.
Australians looking for personal loans of $300 to $10,000 can apply through Jacaranda Finance’s website, with a process that is 100% online and may even be assessed in as little as 60 minutes during AEST business hours.
