Iress appoints Anthony Glenning as Non-Executive Director
Iress have today announced today that Anthony Glenning will be joining the Iress board as an independent Non-Executive Director.
Glenning has over 25 years’ experience in the software industry, 14 of those living and working in Silicon Valley. He is currently the fund manager for Skalata Ventures, leading the investment into early-stage companies and helping them scale and grow into significant and sustainable businesses. He is also a non-executive director of Pro Medicus Limited (ASX.PME), a leading provider of enterprise medical imaging and practice management software, and Austco Healthcare Limited (ASX.AHC), an international provider of healthcare communication and clinical workflow management solutions.
In 1999, Glenning founded Tonic Systems, a web application development company which he built up over eight years and sold to Google in 2007 as part of the Google Docs suite of products. He worked with Google post-acquisition where he was a senior software engineer for two years.
From 2010 to 2018, Glenning was an investment director for Starfish Ventures, based in Melbourne, a venture capital firm specialising in Australian high-growth technology businesses, and during that time held directorships at Aktana, Atmail, DesignCrowd, MetaCDN and Nitro Software.
Iress’ Chair, Roger Sharp, said, “Tony is a seasoned non-executive director and his experience in the global technology industry will make him a valuable asset to Iress as we pursue our 2025 goals of building a stronger, faster, more scalable business. We look forward to welcoming him to the Iress board of directors in October.”
Commenting on his appointment, Glenning said, “I really enjoy working with companies that are on a strong growth trajectory. I think Iress’ ambitious 2025 targets are exactly what the company needs to accelerate and influence the broader financial services industry and to create further meaningful value for shareholders. Iress’ strong and loyal client base is one of the company’s largest assets, and solving these clients’ problems will enable Iress to bring a whole new generation of products to market that continue their growth trajectory beyond 2025.”
Anthony Glenning’s appointment at Iress is effective from 11 October 2022.
