Innovative fintechs: it’s time to step forward for the 2018 Fintech100

Nominations are now open for the 2018 KPMG & H2 Ventures Fintech100, which recognizes leading fintech innovators from around the globe.  The 2018 Fintech100 will be announced in October 2018.

Visit fintechinnovators.com by Friday, 3 August 2018 and nominate your company, or any fintech you think should be considered for the Fintech100

The Fintech100, available at http://fintechinnovators.com, is compiled by fintech investment firm, H2 Ventures in collaboration with KPMG’s Global Fintech practice and includes both the leading 50 established fintechs, and the most intriguing 50 “emerging stars.”

How to nominate and the judging process

Nominations for the Fintech100 can be made at www.fintechinnovators.com website by Friday, 3 August 2018.

The process for selecting the 50 top established fintechs involves a universal search for innovative fintech companies as well as nominations. Companies will be ranked based on: total capital raised, rate of capital raising, location and degree of sub industry disruption and the judging panel’s subjective rating of the degree of product, service, customer experience, and business model innovation.

The 50 emerging fintech stars will recognize largely undiscovered fintech companies, with the judges looking for the players of the future – companies from all over the world with fresh, new, disruptive ideas and industry solutions.

The final list will be curated by a judging panel comprising of professionals from KPMG’s Global Fintech practice, H2 Ventures and Matchi, KPMG’s fintech match-making platform.

The 2018 Fintech100 list to be announced in October

The Fintech100 will be announced in Sydney, Australia in October, during the week of Sibos 2018, at an exclusive event where fintech companies that make the list will be showcased and presented with awards.

Ian Pollari, Global co-lead of KPMG’s Fintech practice, said: “The breadth of fintech innovation continues to expand, geographically and in the disruptive nature of the applications and technologies.  In 2017, there were 29 countries represented in the Fintech100 and while the majority of the fintechs on the list were focused on disrupting traditional business models, there were a number of emerging enabler companies, working across multiple sub-sectors.  We are excited to see which companies rise to the top for 2018.”

Ben Heap, H2 Ventures, commented: “The Fintech100 strongly reflects the increased investment that has been pouring into the sector.  The top 50 companies on the list raised almost $5 billion last year.  We expect that capital raised may level off somewhat, but there continues to be great impetus to fund the innovative business models that are going to drive the future of financial services.”
