Global fintech company Revolut expands the Australian executive team with appointment of Martin McLeod as Chief Financial Officer
Revolut, the leading financial technology company with 35 million customers worldwide, have today announced the appointment of Martin McLeod (pictured) as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Australia and New Zealand operations. With an extensive background in finance and a track record for driving growth and innovation in the global banking sector, Martin brings a wealth of experience to Revolut as the company continues to expand its presence in Australia.
Martin’s journey in the finance industry began at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), specialising in Audit and Assurance. His career then took him to the United Kingdom, before returning to Sydney to join Citibank where he spent 18 years, holding various key positions in Finance, Operations and Product management, covering regions spanning Australia, Asia, Europe, and the USA.
Martin’s expertise extends to leadership roles, including his tenure as CFO of Citibank in the Philippines, where he oversaw both corporate and consumer finance operations along with the Head of Strategy & Finance for the Citibank US Consumer Bank. Martin’s most recent role was with Buy Now Pay Later company Affirm, where he served as General Manager, focusing on launching the Australian operations, developing the merchant network and acquisition of the Australian Credit Licence.
