Fintech job board growing
Fintech jobs board and news site Australian FinTech is seeing growth from employers who are shunning Seek and CareerOne due to the volume of unsuitable applicants, its CEO says.
Founder Cameron Dart, who established the site two-and-a-half years ago and its niche job board component in December, says employers using the site tend to only receive a handful of applications, but are more likely to find them all hireable.
Feedback from organisations seeking fintech talent has included comments such as “we don’t like [the major job boards] because if we advertise on there, we get 300 people applying for the job and 10 of them are worth talking to, and we only hire one”, he says.
The site currently receives 20k unique visitors each month, with 650 companies and 700 jobseekers registered. In December the site saw 10k unique visitors use its job board, and Dart expects 50% user growth in January.
Its future strategy involves integrating with recruitment software providers, targeting universities, and getting more recruitment agencies on board, he says.
