Ex-Class CEO Kevin Bungard joins cloud accounting fintech, MyWorkpapers
Cloud accounting workpapers software provider MyWorkpapers announces the appointment of Kevin Bungard, former CEO of Class Limited (CL1), as their Global COO and Australian GM.
CEO and Founder Rich Neal says “MyWorkpapers has experienced fantastic growth in the UK over the last couple of years, and this year sees us expanding into the EU with our German Distributor Datev. Kevin’s appointment will allow us to better manage not only our global growth but to ensure that we continue to support our loyal Australian user base who have been with us from the beginning.”
MyWorkpapers started in SMSF Audit, which is still a core offering of the business, however now offers a comprehensive work management platform covering year-end, general audit and other practice workflows. Bungard spent 10 years at Class, initially joining as their COO in 2008. Class is an SMSF administration cloud software pioneer that Bungard took through a highly successful ASX listing in 2015, as then CEO.
“Kevin’s unique background and experience is the perfect fit for what we need at this point in the MyWorkpapers journey,” Neal outlines.
Bungard says, “I’m passionate about growing businesses. I love working with accounting practices and helping them with not only their own digital transformation but that of the whole industry. Accountants have to embrace technology. It is a force they can’t ignore, whether your Gen Y or a boomer nearing retirement”.
“I love the way that MyWorkpapers combines leading-edge technology with the way that accountants have always worked. They still collate data, work through checklists and workpapers but now they can do that work from anywhere, sharing it with colleagues, and the partners can have visibility and confidence in what is being done!”
Bungard concludes, “MyWorkpapers, then Auditflow, was a great early partner when I was at Class. I was always impressed with what Rich and the team were doing so it feels like an extremely natural fit for me to join the team. I am impressed with their success outside of SMSF, especially with the international expansion. It’s an honour to be part of the next stage of the company’s growth journey.”
