EML Payments’ CFO Robert Shore to step down

EML Payments have announced that by agreement Robert Shore, EML’s Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will step down from his role and depart the company in April 2023.

Robert Shore joined EML six and a half years ago, becoming CFO in late 2018, and will work with EML over the next three-month period to ensure a smooth transition.

Jonathan Gatt, who is currently EML’s European Chief Financial Officer has been appointed interim Group CFO, effective immediately, while the company conducts an internal and external global search for the position. Prior to joining EML, Jonathan spent 17 years at GE Capital where he held a number of finance roles, most recently executive roles including as CFO of their remaining regulated businesses as they transitioned out of financial services in the US and Europe.

EML Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Emma Shand said, “The Board and I thank Robert for his contribution to EML and wish him all the best for the next chapter in his career.

“We recently announced a new strategic direction for EML to become an embedded finance leader in four key sectors over the next five years and to streamline the business to be more operationally efficient, driving performance and accountability. We are focused on execution and delivering for our people, customers and shareholders.”
