Bridgit appoints Nick Ognenovski as Chief Revenue Officer
Non-bank lender Bridgit have announced the appointment of Nick Ognenovski (pictured) as Chief Revenue Officer.
In this newly created role, Nick will be responsible for leading Bridgit’s end-to-end revenue strategy. He will drive the execution of go-to-market plans, optimise performance across third-party distribution and direct-to-consumer channels, and oversee the sales organisation to accelerate growth and scale.
Nick’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in scaling and solidifying Bridgit’s position as a leading fintech lender in the Australian market.
Before joining Bridgit, Nick served as Chief Operating and Revenue Officer at Cashrewards, an ASX-listed business prior to its acquisition by ANZ Bank, where he led all revenue-generating functions and implemented data-driven strategies to accelerate acquisition, retention, and overall growth.
With nearly 20 years of experience in sales and operations, Nick has held senior leadership roles including Country Manager of Groupon for both Australia and the UAE, as well as positions at Samsung and Cisco, where he built and scaled high-performing teams across fast-paced, competitive markets.
This follows the announcement earlier this year of Stephen Doyle’s appointment as Chief Commercial Officer, a role in which he continues to lead Bridgit’s overarching commercial strategy. Stephen is focused on identifying and securing strategic partnerships, deepening aggregator and broker relationships, and driving initiatives that expand the reach of Bridgit’s third party network across Australia.
Commenting on Nick’s appoint, Aaron Bassin, CEO of Bridgit, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Nick to the team. His experience building multi-channel revenue streams and driving growth will be invaluable.
“With a people-first leadership style and sharp commercial focus, Nick will play a key role in expanding our reach and delivering exceptional solutions and experiences to our partners. Particularly through our broker network, empowering them to help clients unlock their home equity and move forward.”
Nick Ognenovski commented on his appointment, stating, “It’s an exciting time to be joining Bridgit. The business has quickly built a strong reputation for speed, simplicity, and innovation in what is traditionally a complex category, and has made impressive progress in the third-party channel.
“I’m looking forward to building on that momentum, helping brokers and customers unlock even more value, and driving the next phase of growth.”
