
Banjo Loans appoints Anita Tham as Chief Operations Officer
Banjo Loans has today announced the appointment of Anita Tham (pictured) as Chief Operations Officer (COO). With close to 25 years’ experience in the finance and lending space, Anita has been promoted to the COO role after spending the past 10 years working with Banjo Loans. As a founding member of Banjo Loans, Anita has worked through various roles in the business including Business Development, Credit Executive and most recently as Head of Operations.
As COO, Anita will further oversee Banjo’s operational efficiency and the execution of its strategic goals. Having proven herself as a business leader over the past decade with the non-bank lender, Anita will focus on managing the company’s operations ensuring the business maintains its high standards in delivering products and services to SME businesses Australia-wide.
CEO of Banjo Loans, Guy Callaghan, explained that over the past decade, Anita has been instrumental in shaping Banjo’s success, streamlining processes and optimising resource allocation to improve customer experiences.

Anita’s leadership experience extends beyond Banjo Loans. Prior to joining Banjo, she spent nearly 13 years working with the National Australia Bank (NAB), where she honed her skills in operations, project management and business strategy. She also has extensive experience in the front line of Business Banking sector, which when combined with her tenure at Banjo, has equipped Anita with a deep understanding of Australia’s financial services sector and the key challenges SMEs face every day.
In her most recent role, Head of Operations at Banjo Loans, Anita regularly demonstrated the ability to streamline processes and maximise operational efficiency across the business. She has successfully led cross-functional teams, worked closely with various departments to deliver innovative products and ensured Banjo’s operational scalability in the face of growing customer demand. Her achievements include introducing offshore solutions that improved cost efficiency and increased deal flow by five per cent.
