BidFin provides integrated payment solutions to enable sales and cash flow across the IT Supply Chain.
6. How / why did you start your fintech company?:
After a number of years running Microsoft Financing for the APJ region I saw a significant need to establish a business that would provide integrated payment solutions to serve everyone in the IT supply chain whether they be Vendors, Distributors, Resellers or End Customers. The purpose of BidFin’s payment solution offerings is to promote sales, drive customer acquisition and retention and optimise cash flow.
7. What is the best thing your company has achieved or learnt along the way (this can include awards, capital raising etc)?:
Being able to raise capital in a very short timeframe leveraging our existing networks and securing major distribution agreements within 6 months of start-up.
8. What’s some advice you’d give to an aspiring start-up?:
Believe in yourself, yet be humble enough to have experienced business mentors who will provide tough, honest feedback along the way and who encourage you to dream big. Don’t be afraid to change paths if the one you are on is not working, fail fast, never stop learning and surround yourself with smart, passionate, customer focussed and energetic team members who want to share your journey! Stay focussed, easy to get distracted, a company that chases 2 rabbits catches none. The last mile is lonely, stay committed to the cause,
9. What’s next for your company? And are you looking to expand overseas or stay focussed on Australia?:
Bringing our new quoting platform to market and solidifying our businesses in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, along with supporting selected partners in Singapore.
