- How / why did you start your fintech company?:
- Based on successful overseas competitors in the on demand pay platforms cofounder Marcus started to see this in Sydney while working for a contractor management company.
- He set out with long time business partner Graham to build an enterprise solution to plug the payment term gap between worker and hiring company.
- With millions of workers in Australia living paycheck to paycheck, CashD is a cheaper and more controllable solution for companies to offer to their workers to access their earned pay rather than getting short term payday loans. CashD is not a loan nor does it charge interest or have access to the users bank account.
- What is the best thing your company has achieved or learnt along the way (this can include awards, capital raising etc)?:
- Finalised seed round funding with significant investors who will help support our next rounds of funding.
- What’s some advice you’d give to an aspiring start-up?:
- Within the team building process it is important to stay respectful, open and honest with each team member.
