  • CashD is redefining pay by enabling businesses to empower their workers to choose when to get paid.
  1. How / why did you start your fintech company?:
  • Based on successful overseas competitors in the on demand pay platforms cofounder Marcus started to see this in Sydney while working for a contractor management company.
  • He set out with long time business partner Graham to build an enterprise solution to plug the payment term gap between worker and hiring company.
  • With millions of workers in Australia living paycheck to paycheck, CashD is a cheaper and more controllable solution for companies to offer to their workers to access their earned pay rather than getting short term payday loans. CashD is not a loan nor does it charge interest or have access to the users bank account.
  1. What is the best thing your company has achieved or learnt along the way (this can include awards, capital raising etc)?:
  • Finalised seed round funding with significant investors who will help support our next rounds of funding.
  1. What’s some advice you’d give to an aspiring start-up?:
  • Within the team building process it is important to stay respectful, open and honest with each team member.
  • Every team member has value and a different perspective that can add to a positive team dynamic.
