AreaWealth appoints Andrew Rennie as Chairman
Wealth management platform AreaWealth has announced the appointment of Andrew Rennie (pictured) as Chairman of the Board.
Rennie brings over 30 years of financial services experience to the role and will lead AreaWealth’s growth strategy as the next generation in integrated investment technology for advisers.
He succeeds David Curtis, who will transition to non-executive director and board member.
Rennie joins AreaWealth from Segantii Capital Management in Hong Kong where he was Chief of Staff. Prior to joining Segantii, he was a Partner and Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and, previously, an Executive Director at UBS Australia.
Commenting on the appointment, Rennie said he had been impressed by AreaWealth’s value proposition for financial advisers, dealer groups and wealth managers seeking new and improved ways to conduct their businesses through digitisation.
“I could see how perfectly positioned the company was to take advantage of the wealth management industry’s increasing focus on technology,” Rennie said.
“I would like to acknowledge David Curtis’s role in this and thank him for his contribution to the company.
“AreaWealth’s highly experienced executive leadership team has developed a technology solution for the advice industry that delivers significant time efficiencies and cost savings, ultimately leading to better outcomes for clients.
“The next 12 to 24 months will be transformative for AreaWealth as it attracts new investors to the business, grows its funds under management and evolves the wealth management industry.”
