Airwallex partners i2c to power borderless card for businesses

Australian fintech start-up Airwallex has tapped payment technology firm i2c to support its recently launched Airwallex Borderless Card.

Airwallex introduced the borderless card for businesses a month ago, in collaboration with Visa.

The fintech will leverage i2c APIs and tools to configure and iterate the programme as it embarks on a worldwide launch.

The technology will check anomalies in usage patterns and set identity verification and validation safeguards.

Commenting on the alliance, i2c global head of product Ava Kelly said: “We are proud to partner with Airwallex to deliver this innovative AI and machine learning enabled corporate programme that answers the critical need of today’s corporations for safer, more efficient and faster transfers of cross-border funds.

“We look forward to expanding the Airwallex programme to new regions in 2020 and to enabling their clients to provide individual multi-currency cards to employees.”
