Adelaide Fintech solution disrupts Invoicing

Adoption of cloud software has gained acceptance and is increasing dramatically. Over 600,000 Australian businesses currently use cloud accounting solutions. And yet, when they send an invoice they need to print and post it, or PDF and email it. This is because cloud accounting systems do not talk directly to other cloud accounting systems.

An Adelaide Fintech company has worked to address this problem with a solution called Link4.

Link4 delivers your invoice instantly to your customer. It creates a secure Link that allows cloud accounting systems to be connected. This includes popular systems like Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon and SageOne. No matter which cloud software a supplier uses, Link4 enables them to send invoices directly to another cloud accounting system, instantly. No need for emails. No PDFs to import. No printing required.

The founders of Link4, Robin Sands and Sam Hassan, have started this business from Adelaide. To make sure they created a solution people needed, their first step was to meet with several businesses around Adelaide to uncover what their biggest issues were. An item which repeatedly made the list, was that of handling invoices.

For example, restaurants can get thousands of pages of printed invoices every year. As you can imagine, their issue is getting these invoices uploaded to their accounting software. But this can be negated if the supplier sends an electronic version of the invoice direct from their cloud accounting system to that of their customer.

Both sides benefit from this model – the supplier knows the invoice has been delivered and accepted while saving on printing and postage costs. The customer saves a lot of time with data entry and hassle. Overall the invoice process is made simple and can lead to increased cash flow.

During Entrepreneurs Week in Adelaide, Link4 Australia was selected to present their solution at SouthStart as one of the 5 new innovative ideas in Adelaide for this year. Co-founder of Link4, Robin Sands, said, “I was really encouraged by Entrepreneurs Week. There are so many great ideas coming out of South Australia right now. And I feel there is a spirit that everyone wants each other to succeed. It was great to see Link4 receive positive feedback.”

Link4 is a local solution that is due to be released nationally in September.
