Up introduces Travel Mode: The ultimate solution for Aussie travellers
As millions of Australians set out to explore the world again, Aussie digital bank Up understands the challenges of managing finances and keeping track of spending in foreign currencies while abroad.
Which is why Up have launched Travel Mode:
- Powered through its partnership with Mastercard, the currency converter tool calculates foreign exchange rates for all the major currencies worldwide to enable cross-border purchases and ATM transactions.
- Activated at a tap while abroad, users will see their balance in the local currency, from Euros to Yens and everything in between, below the AUD currency automatically.
- Users can also use the new currency converter at any time by tapping on the local currency balance or heading to Up > Travel to toggle it on or off, to know how much they are paying before they spend.
Commenting on the launch of Travel Mode, Up Chief Product Officer Anson Parker said, “As avid travellers ourselves, we wanted to create a genuinely useful feature to make spending while abroad simpler and more transparent for our customers. By integrating the currency converter toggle into our ecosystem, Upsiders can easily see their spending balance in both AUD and the local currency, simplifying money management.”
