Zepto appoints Rich Miller as Chief Technology Officer to drive a new era of innovation and growth
Zepto, a leading innovator in account-to-account payments infrastructure, has today announced its latest C-suite appointment with Rich Miller (pictured) taking the reins as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Miller joins Zepto following a successful career as the CTO at Prospa—an ASX-listed fintech specialising in small business lending—and CTO at Willow, a technology leader in creating digital twins for the built world.
Commenting on the appointment, Chris Jewell, CEO at Zepto said, “Rich’s proven track record of driving technological innovation, building great engineering teams, and his unwavering commitment to excellence makes him the ideal leader to guide our company’s technology strategy and future growth. We are thrilled to have him join at such a pivotal phase in our journey as we pioneer positive change for Australia’s real-time payments landscape.”
Speaking about his appointment Miller said, “Zepto’s bold vision to create a world class technology company, its strong innovation culture, its people-first values, and commitment to fostering a safe and secure payments experience are what attracted me to this role. I’m excited to embark on this journey and help take Australia’s first non-bank NPP-connected institution to new heights as we continue to transform the Australian payments ecosystem.”
Miller boasts over 30 years of experience in the industry, having held roles working with startups and scaleups in the technology and space as both a software engineer, security consultant, and CTO. Since 2015, Miller has channelled his energy into becoming a fintech leader focused on building scalable, capable teams, with a great culture.
Miller’s arrival is the latest in a string of recent company milestones for Zepto. In May 2023, Zepto was named FinTech Organisation of the Year at The Australian Fintech Awards, and recently announced its partnership with Woolworths Group’s payment firm Wpay to power its PayTo enabled pay-from-bank-account payment method.
