Super sector split on fintech opportunity

Superannuation funds were split into “two clear camps” when it came to dealing with fintech disruption, with half the industry pushing to integrate new technologies into their business, while the other half was running scared from the potential risks of partnering with fintechs, according to PractiFI. FinPal and Moneysoft announce client data partnership

Fintech firms FinPal and Moneysoft will now be working together to streamline FinPal’s financial planning software system by adding real-time client data. The development teams of both companies have already started working together and is scheduled to announce the first few integrations in the coming months. Fintech players winning with disappointed advisers

Newer advice technology providers have defeated their more established competitors in securing the top spot for adviser platform satisfaction, despite industry-wide disappointment in current tech options. According to the latest Investment Trends Planner Technology Report, newer platforms are gaining momentum in the industry and threatening more established players.
