Peppermint’s Mobile Bill Payments platform commences under its agreement with Metro Gas

Peppermint Innovation Ltd is pleased to announce pilot testing of its agent mobile bill payments technology has commenced under its agreement with Metro Gas Sales Inc. (Metro Gas). Metro Gas delivers Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) to over 60,000 Filipino households, via an established network of 50 delivery personnel, who on average make 15-20 deliveries a day, 7 days a week. Complii FinTech Solutions targets 2017 IPO

Complii FinTech Solutions, a supplier of compliance and corporate system for stockbrokers, is seeking to join the local bourse in the latter months of 2017. Street Talk understands the company wants to list on the ASX in the third or fourth quarter. ASIC to offer blockchain guidance to businesses

This year businesses will move from talking about the potential of distributed ledger technology inspired by Bitcoin’s blockchain to actually implementing and trialling it, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission’s chairperson, Greg Medcraft, today told the organisation’s annual forum. iSentric enters Fintech partnership and collaboration with Public Bank to introduce mobile payment solution

SETL wants to settle and clear equities in competition with ASX

The ASX is facing competition for clearing and settling equities, with blockchain start-up SETL pledging to build a post-trading system cheaper and to deploy it quicker than the replacement for the existing CHESS infrastructure, which is being developed by the ASX itself and US group Digital Asset Holdings. Brokers want ASX blockchain to do more

Stockbrokers have told the Australian Securities Exchange that to justify the costs of moving to a new technology to replace CHESS, a broad range of “system enhancements” should be added to the project, including eliminating paper processes that manage corporate actions and the transfer of securities. The ASX published on Monday its response to months of market consultation on the replacement of the CHESS equities settlement and clearing system, amid reports some stakeholders are unhappy with the process.
