5th Annual FinTech Awards 2020 announced

Diversity of Award categories reflects growth of fintech/Neo-Bank sector

The 5th Annual Australian FinTech Awards 2020 will be held in Sydney on Thursday 19th November.

Everyone in the fintech sector is looking for some good news – and here it is – the FinTech Awards are back, and ready to recognize the great entrepreneurial spirit of Australian fintech businesses!

This year’s event will be a hybrid event – a combination of a limited number of people in the room, with everyone able to watch the event online.

According to Glen Frost, Founder of the FinTech Awards, “We hope that people will hold their own Covid-Safe FinTech Award events at home, in their office, or at their incubator/hub – we know the fintech sector will get behind the online event as there is a huge need to support each other this year!”

Award categories have expanded again this year – reflecting the dramatic growth of new fintech players into every facet of banking and finance; new awards include Best FinTech/Bank App, Best services from; Neo-Bank, Supply Chain Finance, Alternative Asset Platforms, Foreign Exchange as well as consumer lending and business lending.

“We’ve added new categories to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements and success.”

“The FinTech Awards brings together the influential, disruptive, collaborative and innovative companies that are changing financial services, and whilst this has been a very disruptive year financially due to Covid, we believe it is important to host the awards – in a Covid-safe manner of course,” said Frost.

“Now it’s its fifth year, the FinTech Awards has expanded to 21 categories, which reflects the diversity of B2C as well as B2B fintechs,” added Frost.

“For the past 5 years we have partnered with Australian FinTech as our media partner; I am delighted to partner with Australian FinTech again this year, the Number One place for news, information and jobs in fintech,” said Frost.
